Family Support from the Collective

Support families through autism research, training, assessment, and treatment.

NvCAN does not directly facilitate autism assessments. If needed, please consult with a healthcare professional.

Support in Your Unique Journey

How We Support

NvCAN collective members assist families affected by autism and neurodevelopmental issues as they navigate complex systems of care. Grants have been given to fund further assessments, enrichment activities, treatment, and other avenues of support for the child’s health and wellbeing. Grants are considered after recommendation from trusted partner organizations, such as UNR, NvLEND, UCAN, Pyramid Lake, and NEIS.

How We Collaborate

The work of NvCAN collective members is guided by the recommendations and approval of our trusted partner organizations throughout the state of Nevada. They identify individuals with needs extending beyond their available resources, and make recommendations based upon their knowledge of each family’s circumstances.

Where to Begin

Your first step is your primary autism care provider or resource center, who will determine your eligibility for support from our collective members.

Understanding Access

If your family has needs left unmet by your current care provider, or you are unable to pay for the recommended assessments and treatments, ask your care provider if you may be eligible for financial support.

How The Collective Helps

NvCAN and our collective members provide regular educational trainings and content, and work as a conduit for resources as individuals and families navigate the system of care.
