Support in Your Unique Journey

How We Support

Working with a coalition of trusted nonprofit organizations including NvLEND, UCAN, the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at UNR, Pyramid Lake, Nevada Early Intervention Services, and more, NvCAN provides training, mentoring, and assessments for autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Where funding is needed, we partner with these organizations to fill gaps. For schools, we provide tests and materials, and fund training for teachers and support staff. In partnership with UNR and UCAN, we fund critical research on autism and neurodevelopmental issues. We also provide mentoring and additional training for healthcare professionals who work with children affected by autism and neurodivergence.

How We Collaborate

The professionals and volunteers in the NvCAN collective are frequently tapped to provide expertise, training, and guidance to other nonprofit organizations, research centers, and schools. We collaborate with organizations across Nevada in an effort to make sure every child who may be living with autism or another neurodevelopment issue receives the care and support best suited to them. Our networks across the state help us identify other organizations who share our mission, and we seek out partners where our time and donations can make the most impact.
